Grace Festival Mix is the easiest way to make the delicious festival bread from Jamaica. This bread is made by combining flour, cornmeal, baking powder, salt, sugar and vanilla. The festival dough can be made with very little sugar to accompany curries, jerk or any savory dishes. The more sugar is added to the dough, the sweeter the festival will be and can be served for dessert. The traditional way to cook the festival dough is to deep fry it until it reaches a golden brown color. Then it can be used as a side dish for an entrée or sprinkled with sugar like a beignet and be served as a sweet treat.
