The rocoto peppers in the jar are spicy, and each one is sliced into two halves for easy removal from the jar, for easy eating, and for more dispersal of the peppers' flavor throughout the jar. The jar that holds the Goya red hot pepper halves is fifteen ounces in volume, most of which is taken up by the Goya pepper halves themselves, the the pepper-flavored salt brine, and a small amount of air at the top of the jar that prevents liquid spillage when the jar is opened. As indicated in the name of the product, the Goya red hot pepper halves are produced by Goya, and as the sticker on the jar says, they are grown in Peru.
