Each 4 lb. bag of Goya Pinto beans contains approximately 40 servings when cooked. Each 1/2 cup serving of Goya beans is high in fiber and yields 120 calories, 8 grams of protein and 22 grams of complex carbohydrates with no trans-fat, sugar, sodium or cholesterol. Goya Pinto beans are a raw, dry agricultural product, so they must be rinsed and sorted to remove any stones or debris, and then soaked before cooking. To save time, a large batch can be prepared and then frozen for later use.
