The Goya orange marmalade 17 oz, commonly referred to as mermelada de naranja in the local Hispanic community, is a fairly new product created by the Goya Foods Company. This thick jelly is a normal orange marmalade but with a twinge of Latin American delicacy. This gives the orange marmalade a unique taste not found in the generic marmalades available in stores. The basic ingredients of the Goya orange marmalade 17 oz include oranges, a considerable amount of sugar and pure water. The oranges used in the production of the mermelada de naranja have a slightly higher pectin level than those of the California oranges. Their peels are also slightly bitter, imparting the same sour infusion on the product. This makes the Goya orange marmalade 17 ounce slightly bitter in taste than the ordinary marmalade.
